Food Forests: A New Approach to Gardening

Leader: Estelle Drisdelle, B.Sc., C.H., Certified Permaculture Designer
Date: 18 June, 10am-4pm
Location: Sackville Community Garden, Sackville, N.B.
Fee: $45 (includes lunch!)

Community Forests International is hosting its third annual Food Forest workshop this summer on June 18th, 2011, in our newly constructed outdoor classroom at the Sackville Community Garden in Sackville, NB.

By planting food and medicine producing herbs, flowers, shrubs, mushrooms and trees in mutually beneficial arrangements, gardens grow stronger, healthier, and produce greater yields.

Throughout this workshop you will learn how to create a low-maintenance, functional food forest garden. Mixing equal portions of theory and practice, this course will equip you with the technical know-how and the hands-on skills needed to design and grow food forests in your own backyard.

Whether you’re curious, new to gardening or an expert green-thumb – all are welcome!

Please register before June 15th by clicking this link or call (506) 536-3738. For more information email info@forestsinternational.org.

See you there!
