Plant for Pemba - B.C. Update

by Community Forests International on June 22, 2013

Hardwork and Heart A force to be reckoned with, Brinkman tree planters have planted over 66,500 trees for the Plant for Pemba fundraiser so far this year,  raising just over $10,600 dollars to help rural communities in Pemba plant trees of their own. Our top donator in B.C was Matt Brady who planted a whopping 2556 trees in one day for the project! Matt, and many others generously donated their time and money to ensure that Community Forest International and their local partners can continue to grow their projects on the Island. A huge thank you to all those who planted trees in support of Pemban communities. On behalf of CFI, CFP and Pembans, thank you for you generosity! Ontario bound Next I will be heading to northern Ontario, returning to the regions where I spent the bulk of my tree planting days. Ontario planters have supported CFI from its inception and continue to be a huge supporter of community initiatives on the Island. Stay tuned for more updates and photos.
