Trees donated to the Village of Port Elgin

by Community Forests International on May 31, 2009

Community Forests International plants trees donated to the village of Port Elgin by John Stuart of Nova Scotia. These trees will be planted to green the village and will eventually grow to replace many of the larger trees that have died off in the past couple of years.

The Village Council is very eager to foster a future of environmental awareness and is proud to have Daimen Hardie and Estelle Drisdelle of Community Forests International on their Environmental Development Committee. Community Forests International has managed to plant several trees in and around the community this year and has arranged to plant 100 trees in 2010.
