Watercourse Restoration Workshop

by Community Forests International on September 25, 2012

What?: Come and learn about how to care and restore for the waterways on your property. From the forest to the farm – we will learn what critters live in the water and why and what our waterways need from us to stay resilient. Whether we depend on the land for our livelihoods or simply for a peaceful place to relax - the health of the water is intrinsically linked to health of our forests and farms. This workshop includes a discussion on proper placement of roads, ditches and bridges, a beginner’s assessment of stream health, and how to identify and use native tree species in watercourse restoration.
