Take the ChallengeFounded and supported by Canadian tree planters since 2008, Community Forests International exists today because of our community of hardworking, tree planting supporters. Every spring, hundreds of professional tree planters from across Canada and around the world come together to plant trees and donate their earnings to fund local restoration, agroforestry, and more across Pemba and Zanzibar Islands.
One day a year, tree planters shift their mindset from making money to making an impact. Together we strap on the bags and Plant 4 Pemba, giving what we can — a bag up, a half-day, or the whole thing — knowing we planting to empower grassroots climate action.
As tree planters, you work hard for a living, and you reap the benefits — and now you can help others do the same. Take the pledge to Plant 4 Pemba 2021.
Our ambassadors are the face and voice of Plant 4 Pemba in camps across the country. If you’re passionate about making a change in camp and in communities in Zanzibar, this may be just the role for you. Sign up today to learn more about our Ambassador Program!
Whether you have family members tree planting, are retired from tree planting, or simply want to support our grassroots tree planting movement — you can donate towards Plant 4 Pemba, knowing that 100% of all your support goes directly to help small island communities build resilience, increase food security, and restore their forests.
Plant 4 Pemba is our largest and most important fundraiser. With planters behind us, we’ve been able to be consistent — helping build trust with communities and work together to solve huge challenges. Plant 4 Pemba is as vital as ever, and it’s at the core of who we are. A community helping communities.
